La botanica cantata
In his series of Conferenze Cantate lined up at Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and at Teatro Trianon Viviani in Naples, written by Giuditta Borelli, Mauro Gioia himself, Antonio Pascale and Anita Pesce, Mauro Gioia tells about peculiar stories inside history of Neapolitan song, starting from his personal collection and archive of vintage vinyls (Fondo Gioia).
Mauro Gioia’s La botanica cantata visual set is composed by a series of original videos and some photographs from my personal work. For this show I also have worked on the lights during the performance at a at Auditorium Parco della Musica @auditoriumparcodellamusica in Rome.
This third and last lecture of the series deals with the theme of song, ecology and food and comes from the pen of writer Antonio Pascale. He tells about the nature of Neapolitan songs; the botanical nature: flowers, fruits, trees, and their musical and historical nature.
