“The commune” Chapter 1: A commune of oranges
A dance piece by Bistoury Physical Theatre
A multimedia dance piece fusing and integrating physical theatre, dance and film. It creates a rarefied yet intimate psychological space that will transport the mind from a structured, normalised world into a mundane and intimate realm. “The commune” Chapter 1: A commune of oranges is an encounter and interaction between the human being and nature, a search for our real voice, a beginning and the present. The performance chronicles a society that lives under emotional repression. Within this totalitarian regime, the characters try to reveal themselves, using body language instead of spoken word. Dance becomes a mechanism of survival and an emotional weapon in relief to freedom.
