projects plans bodies faces shapes women: a portrait studio.

On 8 March 2015 the live arts collective Kulturscio’k invited women to perform in the portrait studio that I had previously installed making some actresses to perform body shapes for one of my works.

A source of light, a fabric background, a reflector, a public/private space. Theme: femininity. But portraiture is a process, a form of adequacy: bodies, shapes, faces, intentions, eyes that look, nudity or not, projects, plans, aspirations. Poses, curved backs or not. It’s all we see and photography is unfair. Like desire. And images are so imperfect.

A final exhibition showed imperfect rizo printed portraits.
