J’ai brule dans tes yeux. Je brûle. Napoli 2015.
J’ai brûlé dans tes yeux. Je brûle. is a multidisciplinary artistic creation by the Kulturscio’k Live Art collective directed by Alessia Siniscalchi. It is inspired by the film Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders and set between Naples and Paris. The study of the project began in July 2015 in Paris (Goethe Institut) and the first stage of the work was presented at AMACI XI Contemporary Day (La Casaforte S.B.) to continue in July 2016 with the sponsorship of the French Institute Naples and in 2017 at the Madre Museum in Naples.
Stage photography as archive building
For the first time in my long term collaboration with Kulturscio’k, I push the boundaries of stage photography, shifting from a purely communication act towards a performative presence during the show itself. As a theatre photographer, I am physically part of the performance, sharing the same space of actors and performers, in the very moment in which the show is presented to the audience. On the other hand, I started building up an extensive photographic archive of the show. Putting all the photographs together, in a way that makes sense beyond the rebuilding of the real show in static images, produces an effective rewriting of the performance itself.
