I am a visual communication designer, combining knowledges and practices leading me to work as an art director, writer and translator, photographer, designer, web designer, video maker and editor (color correction and grading), print maker.
In the very early stage of my career I served as a gallery assistant designing and managing exhibition projects and activities linked to photography books culture.
Moving to Paris, in the wake of my film and art studies, I worked as cultural assistant (attaché culturel) of a film distribution company, mainly designing and taking care of initiatives and meetings aiming to support the theatrical release of Italian arthouse films.
Later, I engaged myself in education and cultural mediation. I have been teaching and translating. From 2006 to 2008 I held the position of Italian studies Department Lecturer at Université de Rennes, specialising in combining language teaching and visual arts.
In 2009 I started my career as a freelance communication designer, founding Black Spring Graphics Studio and later in 2019, Food Stories Agency. Since then I have been a creative working mainly with photography and design and copywriting for print and social campaigns.
As a photographer and designer I help companies and startups to design elegant and creative campaigns. From 2017 to 2019 I have designed and managed campaigns as the creative director of French start up Wellness-Week dedicated to wellness programs based travels around the world. Notably, I am the official photographer of Olio Nuovo Days since 2018.
On the other hand, I am a long term collaborator of several theatre companies, both in communication and in creative projects, combining photography and design, building up off stage campaigns but also works to be shown on stage as part of performances.
I proudly am a food photographer, I shoot food and tell about restaurant lives. I also aim to tell about food as social sharing experience and ordinary practice. I am represented by Seeeds Gallery, Paris.
Additionally, I am engaged in portraits and fashion photography (short list Bourse du talent mode 2012 with Karl Gasser Story and Shortlist Bottega Veneta ‘New Exposure‘ photography competition with An index of metals).
Eventually, I work as an editorial and documentary photographer, often dedicated to tell about football passion cultures in the world.
I also work in educational and academic environment, conceiving and running workshops, pedagogical projects, masterclasses. Notably I conceived and managed a visual art based Comenius project at Euroschool Luxembourg I and I have been in charge of annual yearbook of Italian School in Paris, of Euroschool Luxembourg and of German-French High school in Freiburg. In 2022 I ran a workshop on portraiture of an high level athlete involved in nest Olympic Games in Paris for the CPIF, a photography museum in the Paris region.
My personal works as an artist enjoy an international reputation, being part of permanent collections.
Football Stories
The word studio: time we need to acquire a perfect knowledge, analysis of a subject, but also practice, experiment. And it also means to observe. That is all I try to do when I am face to somebody else’s works or artworks. To me, achieving a commissioned work implies that we build up a collaboration, a partnership. The studio is also the workroom where are collected matters to be used, later, in my personal projects
