The Fondation Hugot du Collège de France celebrated forty years of support for research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and academic exchange. Over four decades, the foundation has hosted major conferences, meetings, and cultural initiatives bringing together researchers, professors, artists, and intellectuals from different fields.
During this anniversary event, guests gathered at the foundation’s historic venue in central Paris for a series of presentations, exhibitions, and public discussions. Among the participants were researcher and filmmaker Guy Fihman, presenting photographs related to his work on cinéchromies and cinéglyphes; internationally acclaimed film director Amos Gitaï, and Thomas Römer, professor at the Collège de France since 2007.
Created in 1979 through the bequest of Hélène Hugot (1885–1972) and Jean-Pierre Hugot (1888–1976), the Fondation Hugot continues to support research and intellectual exchange across disciplines. This photographic documentation records the atmosphere of the event, its participants, and the relationship between academic research, public engagement, and cultural production.
