Organic Farming at Al Zababdeh Model Farm, Palestine
In the small town of Al Zababdeh near Jenin in the northern West Bank, a young farmer leads us through rows of organic crops. The farm is part of a regional push toward sustainable agriculture, despite harsh limitations imposed by the political context. In his words, cultivating land here means “fighting for water”: Israeli restrictions on water access make organic farming even more demanding, turning every harvest into an act of resistance and community care. This photo report documents the gestures, fields, and soil of Al Zababdeh’s Organic Model Farm — a place where farming is a livelihood.
