Our design process prioritised accessibility and user engagement. We envisioned the website layout as a foldable brochure, incorporating clear calls to action to guide users seamlessly through the content. The colour palette was chosen for its aesthetic appeal but also to enhance usability, ensuring an intuitive and engaging user experience despite the absence of a strong brand identity. Designing the RAVIV website presented a unique challenge, as the organisation initially lacked a defined brand identity. Their online presence was limited to a basic WordPress blog without a domain name. Our goal was to revolutionise their digital identity into a professional, engaging platform that accurately reflects their mission and activities.
Maximising Engagement Through Strategic Content Integration
Incorporating social media dynamics was vital for maintaining continuous updates and user engagement. While the client initially requested a widget to display social media posts directly on the site, we recognised that this could inadvertently lead visitors away from the website—distracting from the primary goal of engaging users with its content.
To address this, we introduced a comprehensive blog as the central hub for original content, shared across social platforms to drive traffic back to the website. By emphasising that social media serves as a conduit rather than a destination, we ensured that visitors would engage deeply with RAVIV’s offerings, maximising the site’s impact.
Innovative Visual Solutions: Hand-Crafted Geometric Illustrations
To visually represent the various actions and initiatives on the site, we created geometric illustrations that succinctly encapsulate their meanings. Given RAVIV’s limited resources and the necessity of managing multiple physical locations, these logos were designed for easy reproduction using tape. This approach not only added a distinctive, hand-crafted touch but also provided practical signage solutions, creatively addressing the brand identity gap.
