Ordinary matters

Ordinary Matters is a contemporary choreographic work by Heli Keskikallio. The photographic process was divided into two distinct phases: a controlled, staged session and live performance documentation.

The initial phase involved conceptual, staged photography. The images document the bodily spaces carefully prepared by the choreographer Heli Keskikallio — slowly preparing the terrain to let the poetics of objects emerge in direct relationship with the other performing human body.
