I met Charles Gasser (but everyone calls him Karl) through Aline Ferrié. Aline is an ex-model who runs a fashion boutique in Germany,and Karl has been her friend for years. Karl was looking for a photographer to redo his portfolio, to present something that would impress his agency in Munich. Karl knows fashion, fashion agencies, photographers, fashion photography. He collects clothes. I have the Vogue portfolio, 90 years of audacity. Karl arrives on the first day with his trolleys full of outfits and Italian fashion magazines: I’m a model.
